Terry's Chili . 1 1/2 lb lean ground beef . 3 cloves garlic - diced . 1 large onion - chopped . 1 green pepper - chopped . 1 16oz can stewed tomato . 1 8oz can tomato sauce . 1 TBS Cumin (I really like Cumin and usually add more - up to you) . 3+ TBS Chili Powder . 3 Chili Peppers - chopped (Trappey's) - or 2 TBS chopped pickled jalapeno peppers . 2 cans pinto beans - no need to drain . salt to taste - don't over do it. - Brown meat with garlic, onion, green pepper - simmer covered for 30 minutes. - drain excess fat - add spices and peppers and stir well - add tomatoes, tomato sauce, beans and bring to rapid simmer. - simmer covered for one hour - depending on the mix - I sometimes add an additional can of stewed tomatos and additional tomato sauce if needed to enhance the flavor.
